認識你的孩子
阿仔學校的每月通訊，間中會刊登一些文章，是給父母看的，當中常常有些很好的提醒。其中一篇，粗譯一段如下：「有時，父母很着緊孩子的學業進展，看得很緊他們的成績。但這往往使我們看不真，也欣賞不到，到底我們的孩子是一個怎樣的人，他將來又會成為一個怎樣的人。Montessori教導我們，要停下來，留心觀察孩子，享受與他們一起的時間，人在心也要在。見證他們成長的每個里程和奇蹟，樂在其中。但有時，我們的生活太密麻麻，太匆忙，忘記了去看真眼前的孩子，他們的思想和性格如何逐格展現。」 (What do children really get out of Montessori? by Tim Seldom)﹣﹣﹣﹣﹣﹣有時，我們很想從坊間或朋友去找到教養孩子的妙法。是的，各樣的經驗和方法都很好﹣﹣但要判斷和選擇適合的，則很視乎孩子的性格和需要，而關鍵是父母認識自己的孩子有幾多。聽過這樣一個建議：觀察孩子的一舉一動，觀察他怎樣玩，甚麼叫他沮喪，甚麼叫他雀躍，甚麼叫他入迷，他跟前一陣子又有甚麼不同了。然後逐些記下來。這是一個很好的練習﹣﹣也是輕鬆的時刻，不用安排甚麼活動，只是坐下來，專心的陪着他，認識他。我相信，這比起許多練習班，助孩子成長更事半功倍。
